Last year I Tweeted about my daughter's Maryland school system undergoing an antiracist audit.
Well, the results are in, and, shocker, the auditors found the school system must do more to battle racism.
They're implementing a plan that attacks "white supremacy culture".

In 2020 Montgomery County Councilman Will Jawando raised "serious concerns about the school-to-prison pipeline" because black students make up 1/5th of the school system body, but half the arrests. Jawando recommended removing police from schools & funding "restorative justice".
Since Jawando's 2020 recommendation to remove police there have been numerous violent incidents in the schools including a shooting. The perpetrators match Jawando's figures.
This news clip about the shooter strongly suggests a family problem, not a racism problem. Must watch:
Despite these incidents Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) adopted Restorative Justice which holds "every facet of society is impacted by multiple systems of oppression that need to be disrupted".
This includes disrupting "white supremacy culture".
MCPS teachers are told to look for:
"How racism is operating here?"; and
"How is white supremacy culture and dominant culture serving as barriers to the full continuum of restorative practices?"
Racism and white supremacy are presumed. There's nothing about student behavior.
MCPS teachers are led in a "Me and White Supremacy" book study where they're told to look within & ask, "What parts of White Supremacy Culture need to be excavated from within myself?"
Only after white supremacy has been excavated can students "show up in their full humanity".
My thread is inspired by the below Washington Examiner article by author David L. Bernstein. All credit to him, and the screencaps in the following Tweets are from his article.
A teacher shared with Bernstein her impressions of a slide show presented to MCPS administrators on "white supremacy culture" and how to hopefully eliminate it from faculty and students.
One slide had images of the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. This slide represented "bad whites folks", but told viewers "good white people" are also "participants of a SYSTEM of white supremacy."
All whites have the original sin. All whites are guilty.
Another slide showed the White Supremacy Pyramid which depicts white supremacy from overt to covert.
Denying white supremacy is proof of white supremacy. Whites are not allowed a defense.
Being an ally doesn't help either which begs the question -- then why be one?

"Claiming reverse racism" is covert white supremacy. In this worldview only whites can be racist because only they have power. Yet whites are being forced to endure curricula which vilify them & which they can't question. That seems powerless.
Here's where the article author and I differ.
Bernstein is okay with MCPS implementing this into the curriculum so long as they teach alternate viewpoints.
I, however, suspect there's no chance of them teaching alternate viewpoints. Your goodwill will not be returned, David.
So that's the Restorative Justice curriculum with an emphasis on eliminating White Supremacy Culture being implemented in Montgomery County Public Schools (Maryland).

My concerns are elevated after watching the Ohio school video where white students were assaulted, made to bow, and pledge allegiance to BLM.
Teaching that whites are inherently supremacist is abusive to white students, and allows other students to justify violence against them.
