My opinion?
I dislike abortion, especially when there are plenty of pregnancy prevention methods today for those who want them, plus the Plan B pill that has been proven quite effective and is not an abortion pill, as it prevents conception. 2)
But as much as I dislike abortion, I dislike forcing a person to be and stay pregnant to have an unwanted child, just because others have religious preferences against terminating a pregnancy that they assume they can impose on everyone... 3)
by use of the State’s police powers and courts, little different from those who have used Government to enforce their opinions on others in other ways.
BUT HERE’S A SUGGESTION. 4)
IN THOSE STATES WHERE PEOPLE WANT ABORTION TO BE MADE ILLEGAL OR VIRTUALLY ILLEGAL, THERE SHOULD BE A REGISTRY ASSEMBLED OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO WANT ABORTION BANNED, AND 5)
PEOPLE ON THE REGISTRY SHOULD BE OBLIGATED BY LAW TO ADOPT ALL THE UNWANTED CHILDREN THEY HAVE FORCED PEOPLE TO CARRY TO TERM?
That would be fair.. It would be good for the children rather than have them raised by someone who did not want them. 6)
YOU SEE, IT IS EASY FOR SOMEONE TO ADVOCATE SOMETHING THAT AFFECTS OTHERS WHEN THEY HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT THEY ADVOCATE.
MAKE THEM RESPONSIBLE AND SEE WHAT THEY REALLY DO.
