  1. Look for Google Ads

When you do a search for your market, look for the websites that are using Google Ads.

This means they are paying to grow their business and are more likely to pay you.

A simple search for protein powder gives me ecom stores I could offer my services.

  1. Do they need your help?

Depending on what you offer you should be looking for different things.

• bad copy • poor design • no social proof • etc.

Only work with people that you know you can help.

  1. Find a way to contact them

You’re going to cold email these people, so you need to find their email.

The way I used to do this was through hunter.io

  1. Signup for a free account
  2. Type in the website
  3. Get email addresses from their team

  1. Send cold emails

Key takeaways:

• Subject line = “Quick Question about {company name}” • Ideal email length is around 20 seconds long • Personalize your email to each specific client

Your goal is to get a response. My message usually says, “Do you offer online coaching?”

  1. Keep sending emails

Find an email format that gets you a lot of replies.

When I was just starting out with a gmail account and a spreadsheet I would send out 20 emails a day.

Spend a week doing this and you’re guaranteed a reply.

The more you can send the better.

I sent about 80 emails before I got my first reply.

We went back and forth on a few emails and finally agreed on $200/project.

It was to write copy for his supplement pages.

I ended up working with him for a total of nearly 20 projects.

It was the start to my online career…

At the end of the day more messages will always equal more replies.

• personalize them • only email those you can help • offer to work for free if you need to

And if you feel like it…
